The people have spoken – yet again. Despite all the threats, subtle and otherwise. Despite all the rhetoric. Despite the handouts and promises.

The facts speak for themselves as this update from Malaysiakini shows:

Meanwhile in the never say never land, BN is in denial mode – still. As these quotes show:

Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin said that “BN needs to study whether the defeat in Bukit Gantang suggests that Perakians are dissatisfied with the Perak takeover.”

While new Umno vice president, Hishamuddin Hussein, had this to say in Bukit Selambau, where he was director of operations: “The decision (by the voters) is similar to that of last year (March 8 general election). We must see what needs to be changed.”

So much for “shock and awe”.
And maybe bringing back the “suratkhabar lama” man was a big mistake.

Which sets the tone rightly for the next course of action: To request for the dissolution of the Perak State Assembly.

Hidup Malaysia! Hidup Rakyat!
