Anti ISA Rally Update

A roundup of news and related items on the 1st August Anti ISA Rally in Kuala Lumpur:

BBC News reports of protests at anti security law.

Al Jazeera speaks how Malaysia protest march was broken up.

The Star quotes the Inspector General of Police as saying that more than 400 protesters were arrested in the clampdown.

Malaysiakini has pics and stories about the 20,000 odd crowd that wanted a peaceful demonstration.

I saw PM Najib trying in vain to explain why the ISA is necessary on national TV yesterday. He and the government still don’t get it. The majority of the people DON’T want a review of the ISA. We want the ISA repealed. There is a heck of a difference between the two.

NO to ISA.
